Interior view through solar-protected back windows

Highlighting The Exceptional Performance of S-Line Solar Film

Client: The homeowner approached S-Line Solar Film to help put an end to the issues faced him on account of excessive heat and glare and lack of privacy due to the large sliding doors and huge back windows in his house.

Location: Seven Oaks

Project: Installation of S-Line Premium Solar Control Window Film

Materials Required: S-Line Premium Solar Control Window Film

The client had installed large siling doors and back windows with the objective of giving him a better view of his garden, but harsh UV rays of the sun flooded the space during the summer months.

The client had several complaints:

  • The direct sun made their home interior extremely warm during daylight hours, thus making rooms unusable.
  • The sun also made an obnoxious glare inside the house, particularly in the living areas where the family spent most of their time.
  • Prolonged exposure to sunlight had already led to the fading of the furniture and floor coverings along windows. The expansive glass surfaces were also exposing the family to the neighbours, especially during the day.

The client needed a product that could filter heat gain and glare, provide UV protection of the interior, and improve privacy without affecting the view or the overall appearance of their clear, clean windows and doors.

In response to the client’s concerns, S-Line Solar Film installed a premium solar control window film on the sliding doors and back windows. After having worked carefully to preserve the aesthetic integrity of the home, the installed film provided total results regarding light, glare, UV protection, and privacy.

The solar film kept up to 78% of the incoming solar heat away, and by this, the internal temperature was considerably reduced to make the living spaces comfortable even during the peak hours of summer.

It “blew apart” the light intensity of the sun, which reduced glare and thus helped to clear up visibility for viewing TV or working on a computer under natural light illumination.

The film had a blocking efficiency of 99% UV, thereby reducing the chances of fading for furniture, flooring and artwork near the sliding doors and back windows so that the interior of this home is preserved for decades to come.

The solar film deposited a reflective layer on the surface of the exterior during the day. This resulted in increased privacy levels for the home, whereby views from the outside were not as clear as normally expected. The family thus enjoyed lovely views of their gardens without the perception of being viewed by outsiders.

The installation of the state-of-the-art solar film by S-Line SolarFilm on the home sliding doors and the back windows has ensured complete privacy, comfort, and UV blocking protection. The house is cooler, energy efficient, and thus a year-round enjoyable living environment without compromising the aesthetic conceptions represented by modern windows and doors.
